Title : Wedding Crashers
Starring : Vince Vaugn, Owen Wilson
Plot: 2 guys crashing weddings for the Booze (wilson) food (Vaugn) and loose women (both) until one of them breaks rule #345 love 'em and leave 'em....
Review : The Best comedy of the year without doubt, possible the best film. Dialog between Vaugh and Wilson had me crying. excellent supporting roles with the notable exception of Will Farrell, the only low point in the film. The film is a bit crude for the kids, but this is meet the parents on steriods.

Charlie and the chocolate factory

When : July 14th 2005
Title : Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Starring : Johnny Depp
Plot: Classic children’s story
Review : Seriously weird... If you liked the weirdness of the first movie you are in for a treat, because it pays homage to that, and then some. Depp is perfect for the role, but the Michael Jackson comparisons are freaky. The burping scene from the first film is cut, which was a suprise because let’s face it bodily function humour never fails. There is also a lot more emphasis on the life of Willy Wonka before and after the story. Supporting cast is good, with the characters really being Caricatures of the excesses of today’s society allows them to ham it up without stinking.

War of the Worlds

When : June 30th 2005
Title : War of the Worlds
Starring : Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning
Plot: Martian invasion
Review : Wow, Awesome film..... a 2 hour edge of your seat chase sequence. Fanning was spectacular, couldn't help thinking about Cruise's recent behavior, but if it wasn't for that then I would be lauding him for a marvelous performance. Some of the special effects were a little substandard, the ferry scene especially, also some of the more gory parts were hidden from view, which may have been to get a favorable PG-13 rating, but seeing as it would give kids nightmares for years to come anyway, it came across as a cheap cost cutting measure. These minor issues however pale away into insignificance when compared to the majesty of this epic tale.
